MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious engineering client with the recruitment of a permanent Quality Technician to strengthen their current team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to apply their knowledge and skills within an industry leading employer.

The Job You’ll Do:

* Manage and maintain the customer returns process, including logging, tracking, investigation coordination, and reporting

* Control and disposition non-conforming / reject material in line with company procedures

* Ensure traceability and accurate records for all quality-related activities

* Support shopfloor quality activities and liaise with production teams

* Support 8D investigations, primarily through implementing and managing containment actions & data collection and evidence gathering

* Assist in using structured problem-solving tools to identify root cause analysis and corrective actions

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes

* Create, update, and review manufacturing instructions / work instructions

* Ensure documentation is clear, controlled, and aligned with current processes

* Support implementation of standardised processes and best practices

* Support the calibration system, including: Tracking calibration status of equipment, coordinating internal/external calibration activities

* Provide general quality support across inspection, testing, and process validation activities where required

About You:

* Previous experience in a Quality Technician or similar role within engineering/manufacturing

* Good IT / office skills (Excel, Word, data entry, reporting)

* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

* Ability to follow structured processes and procedures

* Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

* Understanding of technical drawings, BOMs, or assembly documentation

* Exposure to quality tools (8D, root cause analysis, basic SPC)

* Knowledge of ISO 9001
