Medical Negligence Solicitor — Position Overview:
Manage a busy mixed caseload of claimant medical negligence files from instruction through to resolution
Work predominantly from home while remaining closely connected to the wider team
Build strong, trusting relationships with vulnerable clients
Supervise and mentor more junior colleagues where appropriate
Genuine responsibility with strong opportunities for career progressionKey Responsibilities of the Medical Negligence Solicitor:
Managing a busy mixed caseload of claimant medical negligence files from initial instruction through to resolution
Conducting detailed legal research and case analysis
Liaising with medical experts, counsel, the court and other parties to proceedings
Providing clear, empathetic and client-focused advice, keeping clients informed and supported throughout
Securing the best possible outcomes using advanced litigation and negotiation skills
Supporting business development through professional relationships, referrers and occasional networking events
Supervising, mentoring and supporting more junior colleagues, apprentices and trainee solicitorsRequirements of the Medical Negligence Solicitor:
Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years' PQE, or a Chartered Legal Executive with equivalent experience
Demonstrable experience managing claimant medical negligence cases independently
Excellent client care and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable clients
Organised, self-motivated and capable of working autonomously within a remote environment
A collaborative team player who contributes positively to departmental success
An interest in supporting and developing less experienced colleagues
