Field Service Engineer
Across the South
EXTENSIVE TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing renewable energy business, supporting assets across the South of the UK.
Package & Benefits
Up to £45k base
On-call allowance: £165 per week
Overtime paid for call-outs (minimum 4 hours per call)
Company van provided
26 days annual leave bank holidays
Ongoing training (including Gas Safe and OEM systems)
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and performance of power plant systems, ensuring high reliability and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across power generation plants
Diagnose and repair faults on power generation systems
Support installation, commissioning, and post-handover defect rectification
Identify required spare parts and support asset reliability improvements
Respond to breakdowns and participate in an on-call rota
Requirements
Experience work in a field based role
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across mechanical and basic electrical systems
Experience completing service and inspection reports
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday (40 hours per week, between 8am–7pm)
Overtime paid at 1.5x
On-call rota: 1 week in 5 (Friday to Friday) – call outs paid at 1.5x for a minimum of 4 hours
Frequent travel across the South with occasional overnight stays
