Project Manager – Defence
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a global technology leader delivering secure communications and encryption solutions to the UK Defence and National Security sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience managing technical or engineering projects within Defence, Aerospace, Government, Communications or Secure Technology environments. We're also keen to hear from ex-military professionals from the British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force or wider Armed Forces looking to transition into project management within industry.
Key Responsibilities for the Project Manager – Defence :
Lead projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality.
Manage multidisciplinary engineering and cross-functional delivery teams.
Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and internal teams.
Produce project plans, schedules, budgets and delivery forecasts.
Manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (RAID).
Oversee change control, resource planning and project reporting.
Chair customer and internal project review meetings.
Support bids, proposals and project planning activities.
Drive collaboration across engineering, commercial and programme teams.
Essential Experience for the Project Manager – Defence :
3+ years' experience in Project Management, Programme Delivery or technical leadership.
Applications are welcomed from ex-military professionals, including those from the British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force or wider Armed Forces, with experience leading projects, programmes, engineering or operational teams.
Alternatively, experience delivering projects within Defence, Government, Aerospace, Communications or Technology environments.
APMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent qualification (or working towards one).
Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading multidisciplinary or matrix-managed teams.
Eligible to obtain UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
