We are looking for an After School Tutor who is passionate, confident, and keen to make a difference in a young person's life. The successful candidate will have experience in either Maths or English tutoring up to GCSE level and will be able to deliver high-quality lessons, support student progress, monitor achievement, and provide outstanding educational support.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned tuition in Maths and English up to GCSE level.
Plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet individual learning needs.
Support students with a range of abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
Monitor progress, set achievable targets, and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a positive, motivating, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
Experience teaching Maths and/or English at secondary GCSE level.
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to adapt lessons to different learners.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
Experience supporting students with SEN or SEMH needs.
