About the Role
As a Popular Music Lecturer at Kidderminster College, you will:
Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Popular Music programmes,
Plan and prepare learning activities that meet awarding body and curriculum requirements,
Support learners in developing performance, composition, production, and music industry knowledge,
Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement,
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment,
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the learner experience and curriculum delivery.
What We’re Looking For
Experience within the music industry, music education, or a related creative sector,
Knowledge of performance, composition, music technology, and contemporary music practices,
Strong communication and organisational skills,
A passion for supporting and developing learners,
A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable,
A valid or update-service DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
