We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a prominent commercial vehicle dealer group operating since 1973 with 12 centres across Southern England. They are seeking a qualified HGV Technician to join their team based in Salisbury, with an upcoming relocation to a new site in Andover. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled HGV Technicians to develop their career within a reputable organisation.

Conduct all servicing and maintenance work on heavy goods vehicles to the highest standards, within manufacturer timeframes
Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions accurately and efficiently
Support colleagues with technical issues and share innovations as a HGV Technician
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures
Document diagnosis findings, repairs, and safety inspections comprehensively
Contribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and vehicle reliabilityRequirements of a HGV Technician:
Reside within reasonable commuting distance of Salisbury and Andover
Hold IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; practical experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
Strong practical knowledge of truck, trailer, van, and ancillary equipment maintenance and repairs
Experience in diagnosis and repair of heavy vehicles
An HGV driving licence, IRTEC, or tachograph licence is advantageous but not essential at this stage
