Design Manager – London
Salter Grange is seeking a proactive Senior Design Manager(s) to join a leading Main Contractor on exciting London projects. These projects are mainly high-rise residential, with some projects with a value of £80million - £100million
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate design teams from PCSA through delivery (RIBA stages 2–5)
Manage design schedules, information release, risk registers, and document workflows (Aconex/Fieldview)
Ensure design quality, compliance, and collaboration with Project Managers and subcontractors
Support pre-construction activities, including planning conditions, surveys, BREEAM, and design scopes
Mitigate design risks and maintain the golden thread of information
Requirements:
HNC/Degree in Design Management, Architecture, or similar
Experience in new build residential or student accommodation, or commercial fit-out projects
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Positive, proactive attitude and a passion for collaborative working
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
