This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected engineering organisation where you'll play a key role in supporting new product introductions, developing manufacturing processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Role - Manufacturing Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of manufacturing engineering activities across a range of complex CNC machining programmes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Managing multiple engineering projects from quotation through to production.
Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities.
Developing and optimising CNC machining processes for complex precision-engineered components.
Producing manufacturing quotations and cost estimations.
Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation including routings, bills of materials (BOMs) and work instructions.
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction and process optimisation.
Acting as the technical lead for assigned manufacturing programmes.
Working closely with Production, Quality, Planning and Programme Management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Representing Engineering at daily operational meetings and driving actions through to completion.
Leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
Ensuring manufacturing processes meet quality, customer and regulatory requirements.Key Requirements
We're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, precision engineering environment.
Ideally Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or currently working towards a qualification).
Around five years' experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role.
Multi-axis CNC machining, mill-turn and turning operations.
Manufacturing process development and optimisation.Key Skills
Delivering engineering projects from concept through to production.
Working within highly regulated industries such as aerospace, medical devices or advanced manufacturing.
Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
Continuous improvement and manufacturing cost reduction initiatives.
Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).
Skilled in CAM software such as Hypermill, Mastercam or VericutSalary & Benefits
Highly Competitive salary starting between £40,000 and £50,000 per year.
