Duration: Temporary but with the potential to go temp to perm

Polytec are seeking a detail orientated Material's Technician to join our south Cambridge based client. This is a hands-on, site-based role supporting the efficient flow of materials through the warehouse and production environment.
Responsibilities
• Receive, inspect and book in incoming goods
• Pick and issue materials for production
• Maintain accurate stock records using an MRP system
• Carry out cycle counts and investigate stock discrepancies
• Ensure correct stock rotation, storage and traceability
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
• Work closely with Production, Procurement and Quality teams
Requirements
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach
• Competent with Microsoft Office
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or engineering environment
• Knowledge of stock control and MRP systems
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and use basic measuring equipment such as verniers and calipers
• Full UK driving licence
