Shift Pattern
* Week 1: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30
* Week 2: Sat 08:00 to 14:00, Sun 08:00 to 17:00, Mon to Weds 08:00 to 16:30
* Regular overtime available Work up to 19:00 daily
* Breaks per shift: 2 x 30 mins paid, 1 hour lunch unpaid
* 10 days on, 4 days off rotation
The Opportunity
My client is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Person to join their team permanently based at a manufacturing facility in Bugbrooke, Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. This role requires a versatile individual with mechanical, and troubleshooting skills, capable of supervising maintenance activities and providing excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys problem-solving, taking ownership, and working in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and facilities to minimise downtime
* Troubleshoot and repair machinery / production equipment
* Perform welding tasks as required to repair or modify equipment components
* Lead maintenance projects, supervise junior team members, and coordinate tasks effectively
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in maintenance roles with strong mechanical knowledge
* Knowledge of industrial systems, machinery, and troubleshooting methods
* Supervising experience is desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards internal clients
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical or mechanical trades are advantageous
