Senior Quantity Surveyor

Up to £72,000 DOE

We are assisting our client who is a Top 5 ranked Main Contractor on their search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them on HS2 project doing a 90km stretch of the West Midlands route, building the infrastructure that will one day carry trains between London and Birmingham at up to 225mph.

What you'll be doing:

Leading and owning key commercial tasks, with real autonomy to make decisions in your area
Reporting into a Project Manager or Commercial Manager on commercial matters for your section of the project
Protecting the commercial position through strong contractual, insurance and legal knowledge
Playing a role in client relationship management to keep contracts progressing smoothly
Mentoring and developing junior members of the commercial team
Working hand-in-hand with the delivery team to solve real engineering and commercial challenges
Preparing tender packages, evaluating returns, and appointing subcontractors accurately and on timeWhat you'll bring:

A BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience)
Solid NEC contract experience
A track record on large infrastructure or civil engineering projects
RICS, ICES or CIOB membership
