Job Title: Field based After Sales Executive
Location: Covering Midlands
We are looking for an experienced After Sales Executive to join our team, managing and developing relationships with customers across the Midlands region.
This role is suited to someone with a strong background in the material handling, forklift, plant hire, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, or industrial machinery sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop long-term relationships with customers through regular site visits and account management.
Oversee key customer accounts, service agreements, and aftersales contracts.
Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding service enquiries, equipment support, and ongoing requirements.
Build strong relationships with customers operating forklifts, plant equipment, agricultural machinery, and other industrial equipment.
Resolve service issues, manage customer expectations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular account reviews and performance meetings to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.
Identify opportunities for additional equipment hire, sales, service contracts, and aftermarket solutions.
Manage short-term rental enquiries and support customers with their equipment needs.
Work closely with service engineers, workshops, parts departments, and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Follow up on quotations, contract renewals, and outstanding commercial opportunities.
Handle customer complaints and escalate issues where required.
Provide feedback on customer requirements, competitor activity, and market trends.
Identify new business opportunities within existing customer accounts.
Support invoice queries and service disputes by working with customers and internal teams.
Maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities in partnership with the sales team.
Experience & Skills Required
Industry experience is essential. Applicants must have a background within one of the following sectors:
Forklift / Material Handling Equipment
Plant Hire / Construction Equipment
Agricultural Machinery
Heavy Equipment / Industrial Machinery
Equipment Rental or Service-Based Engineering Environments
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in an after sales, service, account management, or customer-facing role within an equipment-based industry.
Strong understanding of machinery, servicing, maintenance, hire, or aftermarket support.
Experience managing customer relationships and developing long-term commercial partnerships.
Ability to communicate confidently with customers, engineers, workshops, and internal teams.
Commercial awareness with the ability to identify sales opportunities and support revenue growth.
Strong organisation, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach.
Salary & Benefits
Basic Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum
Performance-related commission: £350 - £400 per month
OTE: £34,200 - £37,800 per annum
