Yolk Recruitment is actively working with a well-established specialist manufacturer based in Caerphilly. The business is entering an exciting phase of growth, with continued investment across the site-now looking to strengthen their engineering team with the addition of a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer.

As a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer, this is what you'll be doing:

You'll be part of a highly experienced engineering team, working a days & nights rotation supporting a fast-paced production environment with a range of specialist machinery.

Tasks will include:

Maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and equipment in line with schedules and specifications to maximise reliability and minimise downtime, including fault finding and reactive repairs.

Identifying recurring mechanical issues and implementing long-term fixes through root cause analysis.

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal machine performance.

Ensuring all tools and maintenance equipment are in good condition and fit for purpose.

Supporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
The experience you will bring to the team:

Ideally qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

A time-served, apprentice-trained engineer with a strong mechanical background is essential.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

Basic electrical fault-finding skills would be advantageous, but the role is mechanically focused.
