Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer

The business is entering an exciting phase of growth, with continued investment across the site-now looking to strengthen their engineering team with the addition of a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer.
A continental shift pattern during the working week is on offer, giving you more time off without sacrificing earning potential-ideal if you're looking for a better work-life balance without compromising on career progression.
As a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer, this is what you'll be doing:
You'll be part of a highly experienced engineering team, working a days & nights rotation supporting a fast-paced production environment with a range of specialist machinery.
Tasks will include:
Maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and equipment in line with schedules and specifications to maximise reliability and minimise downtime, including fault finding and reactive repairs.
Identifying recurring mechanical issues and implementing long-term fixes through root cause analysis.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal machine performance.
Ensuring all tools and maintenance equipment are in good condition and fit for purpose.
Supporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
The experience you will bring to the team:
Ideally qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
A time-served, apprentice-trained engineer with a strong mechanical background is essential.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
Basic electrical fault-finding skills would be advantageous, but the role is mechanically focused.
