Job Responsibilities

Lead and supervise operational teams on customer sites and in the depot to ensure all tasks are completed accurately, safely, and in compliance with company standards.
Manage health and safety procedures in accordance with method statements and risk assessments, reporting any breaches immediately to relevant managers.
Oversee spill and HAZMAT response operations, providing on-site leadership for both employees and clients.
Report on job progress to the depot operations team, including issuing and amending work programmes and preparing cost/margin analysis documents.
Assist colleagues with project preparations, including the collation of RAMS/Method Statements and job packs.
Organise and resource equipment and plant required for operational works, ensuring all assets are maintained and serviced appropriately.
Operate company vehicles and equipment safely, conducting pre-operation checks and ensuring all reports are completed.
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all plant and equipment post-job, identifying repair needs as required.
Engage with customers on-site to discuss ongoing works and explore additional service opportunities.
Complete and submit all operational paperwork promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Keep management informed of operational changes and provide comprehensive briefs as needed.
Plan and deliver regular toolbox talks to promote safety and operational best practices.
Ensure company vehicles are well-maintained, clean, and roadworthy, reporting any defects promptly.
Undertake asset servicing, inspections, and maintenance checks, supporting administrative documentation uploads.
Maintain a tidy depot environment, ensuring assets are clean and ready for use.
Proactively promote other group services to clients and stakeholders.
Participate in standby and on-call duty manager rota, including occasional overnight stays and travel across the UK.
Assist in deputising for senior staff during leave periods and undertake any additional tasks as delegated by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven supervisory experience in industrial cleaning, environmental services, or a related field.
Relevant health and safety certifications, including CSCS, IOSH, or NEBOSH qualifications.
Competence in operating relevant plant and equipment, with appropriate licences as required.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of providing clear operational briefs.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Experience in emergency response operations, spill management, and HAZMAT handling.
Full UK driving licence, with a clean driving record.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight stays as required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail and safety standards.
