LCV Technician
Location: Darlington
Salary: £17.50 per hour + Overtime
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days - 6am-6pm

We are recruiting for a qualified LCV Technician to join a busy and well-equipped workshop in Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician looking for a great work-life balance with a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
The role will primarily involve the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of Mercedes-Benz and Iveco light commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.

For technicians looking to progress their career, there is a genuine opportunity to upskill and train towards becoming a qualified HGV Technician, gaining valuable experience and qualifications while working alongside experienced heavy vehicle technicians.

The Role
Carry out routine servicing, inspections and maintenance on LCVs.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
Complete repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation.
Follow all workshop health and safety procedures.
Work independently and as part of a professional workshop team.

Requirements
Level 3 qualified LCV Technician (or equivalent).
Previous experience working on light commercial vehicles.
Experience with Mercedes-Benz and/or Iveco vehicles is highly desirable.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Positive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
A willingness to develop new skills and progress into HGV maintenance is advantageous.
