We are working with a well-established and growing technology firm, and they are looking for a Head of HR to join the business ASAP.
The role would be ideal for a seasoned commercially focused Senior HR Manager or Head of HR, who is looking for a busy and hands on role, with a fast-growing international business.
This is a hybrid working role – 2 days from home and 3 days in the office.
Reporting into Directors the role will be No1 in HR and provide a proactive, high quality, client focused and effective generalist HR service to c200 employees (UK and US). The focus of the role is to lead and manage the HR function through a period of growth, providing a generalist operational HR service to the business, supporting with the effective delivery of the people strategy, and supporting with key HR projects and initiatives. Key duties will include;
* Reporting into Directors, leading a small HR team and providing HR support to c200 employees across the UK and US
* Member and participant of the UK SLT and inspire confidence to the C-Suite through timely delivery of information, across both operational and strategic issues through a proactive, pragmatic, and commercially sound approach.
* Lead and manage the HR function both strategic and operationally, and be the point of contact for the senior team on all HR matters
* Design, develop and implement the Global HR Strategy in line with budget and company strategic aims
* Oversee and manage all aspect of HR Operations for the business, including manage and oversee HR advice and support services for directors, managers, and colleagues, including international offices
* Lead and deliver on specific projects, including review and improvement of performance management, employee benchmarking, reward scoping for international offices, alignment of HR across the UK and US, organisational design, and aligning HR with the strategic goals of the organisation.
* Actively participate in the global staff engagement team, introducing new engagement activities and nurturing a positive working environment.
* Provide in-house HR advice and support, ensuring that all company policies and processes are consistently applied and that all HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably.
* Oversee and manage the HR systems, including the use of leveraging AI-enabled tech to improve employee experience, operational efficiency and data-driven decision making.
* Provide advice and support managers with ER cases (including all day-to-day matters), grievances and disciplinaries, and supporting managers with performance management, including coaching, advice, guidance, and upskilling managers
* Advising managers to ensure compliance with all employment laws, company policies, and procedures
* Work with the Recruitment manager on the recruitment strategy to support ambitious company growth over the next 2-3 years, including overseeing recruitment activities and budgets, and initiate direct talent management projects to facilitate business growth.
* Conduct regular UK and International benchmarking to maintain a competitive rewards strategy and secure top talent in the industry
* Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.
* Ensure alignment between HR practices and the company's mission, vision, and values, including champion of the Company Values
* Oversee employee lifecycle work including HR administration, on-boarding, off-boarding, recruitment, and HR reporting.
For this role candidates will need to have proven HR experience at this level, ideally hold CIPD qualification, international HR and have worked for a high growth business in a similar industry i.e. IT, Tech, Software business (or similar).
This is a fast-paced role, where you will be expected to provide a professional and high-level HR service to stakeholders and build relationships. Candidates must be proactive, hold strong communication and interpersonal skills and work to a high level of accuracy.
Experience of US and international HR experience would be highly desirable for this role.
