Are you an experienced Stores Operative or Warehouse Operative with forklift experience? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, teamwork and organisation are essential?

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Stores Operative to join a busy logistics team supporting a major engineering and manufacturing operation in Goole.

The Role

You'll play an important role in ensuring materials are received, stored and distributed efficiently to support production. Working within a busy warehouse environment, you'll be responsible for stock control, material movements, inventory accuracy and maintaining high standards of health and safety.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering long-term work within a supportive and professional team.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm (Rotating)

Friday: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 12:00pm - 6:00pm (Rotating)

Key Responsibilities

Receive and unload incoming deliveries safely.

Check goods against delivery documentation for accuracy and quality.

Book materials into stock using SAP.

Pick, pack and issue materials to production teams.

Replenish line-side stock locations.

Process stock movements between warehouse locations.

Carry out stock checks and inventory audits.

Complete warehouse documentation accurately.

Conduct routine safety checks on racking and warehouse equipment.

Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and support a safe working environment.

Identify opportunities to improve warehouse and logistics processes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience working within a warehouse, stores or logistics environment.

A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable

Pivot Steer Forklift experience.

Experience using SAP, Maximo or similar warehouse management systems.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
