School Administrator
Location: Plymouth
We are seeking an organised, professional, and friendly School Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school and act as a key point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the school reception and handling telephone and email enquiries.
* Maintaining accurate pupil and staff records.
* Processing attendance, admissions, and general administrative tasks.
* Supporting school leadership and teaching staff with administrative duties.
* Managing correspondence, filing, and data entry.
* Assisting with school communications and events.
* Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements.
Essential Requirements
* A current Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service is mandatory and must be in place before employment can commence.
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable Requirements
* Previous experience in a school administration role.
* Experience using SIMS (School Information Management System).
* Knowledge of school procedures, attendance management, and safeguarding requirements.
* Experience working within an educational environment.
