Warehouse Operative
Our client in Haddenham is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join them on permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role in a very stable and well established business.
Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, as a Warehouse Operative, the purpose of the role is to ensure Production & Customer Order fulfilment takes place in a timely fashion
Duties and responsibilities:
* Support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.
* Process inbound deliveries, replenish stock, pick, pack and dispatch orders accurately and on time.
* Receive, store and move materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse.
* Maintain accurate stock records by completing inventory transactions correctly using warehouse systems (SAP experience is advantageous).
* Carry out regular stock counts and participate in scheduled stock takes, ensuring all records are accurate.
* Ensure stock is rotated correctly using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to minimise aged inventory.
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment, adhering to all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
* Follow all warehouse procedures, policies and compliance requirements at all times.
* Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to support the warehouse operation.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
* Previous experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment.
* Good attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and improve processes.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems or SAP is desirable but not essential.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
What’s on offer:
* Salary: £26,436.80
* annual bonus scheme.
* holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays, shut down between Christmas and new year, so the company gives an additional 3 days holiday to cover the non-bank holidays during this period.
