The below job description will outline this position of: Cyber Security Engineer
Typically, this person will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining cyber security across both internal and customer environments. Working closely with IT, Engineering and Compliance teams, you will secure network infrastructure, respond to cyber security incidents, monitor threats, ensure compliance with recognised security standards and provide technical expertise across the business.

Duties and responsibilities of the Cyber Security Engineer:
* Develop and maintain information security policies, procedures and standards.
* Monitor SIEM, IDS/IPS and security monitoring tools, investigating and resolving cyber security incidents.
* Design, build, implement and support secure network solutions across internal and customer environments.
* Carry out vulnerability assessments and recommend security improvements.
* Provide third-line technical support for complex security issues.
* Produce technical documentation, configuration guides and security procedures.
* Work closely with IT and Engineering teams to ensure secure network design.
* Support colleagues with cyber security advice, training and best practice.
Technologies you will work with include:
* Cisco Firewalls, Routers and Switches.
* Juniper networking platforms.
* SIEM and IDS/IPS solutions.
* Vulnerability Management and Penetration Testing tools.
* Computer Forensic tools.
* ISO27001, ITIL and GDPR.
Qualifications and requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience designing and managing secure enterprise networks.
* Strong Cisco networking and firewall experience.
* Experience with Juniper platforms, SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management and penetration testing.
* Good understanding of ISO27001, GDPR and ITIL.
* Strong documentation, communication and customer support skills.
* Eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance.
Desirable Experience:
* Telecommunications, Satellite Communications (Satcom) or Maritime Communications.
* UK MOD or Government network environments.
