Head Resourcing are partnering with an Edinburgh-founded business to recruit a Data Manager/Azure Fabric specialist to play a pivotal role in the organisation's data transformation journey.
This is an opportunity to bridge the gap between business strategy and modern data platforms, helping to design, build and govern enterprise-wide analytical solutions that support regulatory reporting, risk management, customer insight, operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll help establish data as a strategic asset while delivering scalable, compliant and high-quality data products using the Microsoft technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with business stakeholders to understand and document data and reporting requirements.
Translate business needs into analytical data products, automation initiatives and reporting solutions.
Design and develop Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
Build and optimise end-to-end data pipelines and ingestion frameworks.
Deliver robust MI, dashboarding and reporting solutions within Power BI.
Drive data governance initiatives including data lineage, quality, traceability and metadata management.
Develop and maintain data models, business glossaries, process documentation and data dictionaries.
Support regulatory reporting, risk analytics, customer insight and operational reporting initiatives.
Identify opportunities for automation and improved business decision-making through data.
Promote data literacy and champion best practice across the organisation.
Collaborate with project, technology and change teams to support successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience

Significant experience designing and delivering modern data platforms and data architecture solutions.
Strong experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
Expertise in:
SQL
Power BI
Azure Data Services

Data security principles
Proven ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
