We are recruiting a Water Hygiene Technician to join our team in Newcastle!
Role Summary
Carry out routine monitoring of the water systems within the designated buildings
Assist technical on site team in carrying out maintenance and repair activities
Undertake non-technical engineering maintenance tasks
Keep plant and work areas clean and tidy
Carry out PPMs on water systems to ensure compliance
Undertake failsafe & servicing of TMV's
Working closely with sub contractors to ensure works are to a high standard
Computer literate with ability to work on CAFM system on tablet
Carry out clean & disinfection of cold water storage tanks and associated plant
The successful candidate will be working with the Site FM & other team members, in implementing the maintenance services. This includes planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance in accordance with the building operating manuals, including site assistance with sub-contractors and in house labour for the delivery of compliance, contract service levels and the current regulations.
This will be a static site role across 2 campuses comprising of 39+ buildings.
Hours
Monday - Friday.
3 weeks 07:30 - 15:30 & 1 week of 09:30 - 18:00
Overtime & weekend flexibility required.
On-Call schedule available.
Qualifications & Experience
Demonstrate working experience of HSG274, Approved Code of Practice L8, Health Care Memorandum (HTM)
Legionella Awareness
Must come from a strong legionella, water treatment, water hygiene, chemical background
Experience with water delivery systems and isolation procedures
Hot and cold water systems management
Water system clean & disinfect training (Desirable)
Plumbing qualifications up to NVQ Level 3 (Desirable)
Risk Assessor qualifications (Desirable)
