About the Role

Are you an experienced and passionate Social Worker looking to make a real difference to the lives of children and families? Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking dedicated Senior Social Workers to join our well-established and supportive Children's Assessment Teams.

Rate: £30.57 per hour (Umbrella)

You will be part of Solihull's Integrated Front Door Service, which consists of:

Emergency Duty Team (EDT)
Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)
Four Assessment TeamsEach Assessment Team includes:

6 Social Workers
1 ASYE
1 Advanced Practitioner
1 Team ManagerTeams operate a duty rota, with each team on duty one week in every four. During duty weeks, staff are expected to be office-based. When not on duty, attendance in the office is required for two days per week.

The role involves undertaking:

Section 17 Assessments
Section 47 Enquiries
Child Impact Reports (similar to Section 7 Reports)
Direct work with children and families to ensure timely and effective interventionsExperience

Have strong experience in duty and assessment work
Are passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children
Can confidently manage safeguarding assessments and interventions
Are committed to delivering high-quality services and working collaboratively with partner agenciesWhy Join Solihull?
