Requirements

To be considered for the SEND Teaching Assistant role you must:

Have some knowledge and experience of working with Autism
Be adaptable and proactive, able to deal with challenging behaviour effectively
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
1 months relevant experience within the last 3 years.
The Role

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist SEND school in Huddersfield. The successful candidate will provide support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop social skills and build confidence within the classroom environment. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support, both on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, ensuring pupils are fully engaged and able to reach their potential.

This is a part and full-time role and may involve supporting pupils with personal care needs, depending on the individual requirements of the students.
