Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced LV Overhead Line Project Manager to manage the successful delivery of LV overhead line projects from initial planning through to completion. The role will have primary responsibility for coordinating projects via the Northern Powergrid (NPG) Portal, ensuring all project information, approvals, and documentation are accurately managed throughout the entire project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and managing job packs, coordinating resources, monitoring project progress, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and in compliance with Northern Powergrid and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage LV overhead line projects through the full project lifecycle, from initial instruction to final completion.
* Take ownership of the Northern Powergrid Portal, ensuring projects are accurately created, maintained, updated, and closed out in accordance with client requirements.
* Prepare, review, and manage comprehensive job packs, ensuring all project documentation is complete before works commence.
* Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to achieve programme delivery.
* Liaise with Northern Powergrid, clients, internal departments, and field teams to ensure all project milestones and approvals are achieved.
* Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues that may impact delivery.
* Ensure permits, traffic management requirements, RAMS, and health & safety documentation are in place and compliant.
* Coordinate materials, plant, and subcontractor requirements to support efficient project delivery.
* Monitor project costs, productivity, and programme performance, providing regular progress reports to management.
* Ensure completed works are correctly documented, quality checked, and closed out within the Northern Powergrid Portal.
* Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes and maintain compliance with company and client standards.
Requirements
Excellent planning, organisational, and project coordination skills.
Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements within utility projects.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining programme targets.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
NRSWA qualification.
Experience within electricity distribution or utility infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of commercial reporting and project cost control.
