Location: County Mayo, Ireland
Rate: €35-€50 per hour (DOE)
Contract Length: 2 Years
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Project-based

We are urgently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a major infrastructure project in County Mayo. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional with a strong background in water, piping, civil construction, or M&E projects to lead site activities on a long-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour, and specialist trades across civil, mechanical, electrical, and pipework packages.
Lead site health, safety, environmental, and quality performance, ensuring full compliance with company and client requirements.
Review and implement RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work.
Conduct site inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates, look-ahead schedules, and reports to project stakeholders.
Manage site logistics, resources, plant, materials, and workforce planning.
Identify and resolve technical, operational, and programme challenges efficiently.
Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, specifications, and industry standards.
Foster a positive safety culture and lead by example at all times.

Essential Requirements

IOSH Managing Safely (minimum requirement).
Proven experience as a Site Manager on water, utilities, infrastructure, construction, piping, or M&E projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, mechanical installations, and pipework systems.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and project programmes.
Excellent planning, communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Full driving licence.

Desirable

Experience within water or wastewater treatment projects.
SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
First Aid certification.
Relevant construction or engineering qualification.This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a 2-year contract on a high-profile project with an immediate start available.
