On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Duty Manager to join on a permanent basis. Essential CAA/EASA engineering background, leadership and management skills required. This position will cover managerial and administrative duties.
Role: Duty Manager
Salary: On Application
Permanent 5/5/4 - Days/Nights - 12-hour shifts
Location: Bedfordshire, UK
Responsibilities
Maintain awareness of company Health & Safety policy and to ensure that staff under their control practice approved methods to minimise risk to personnel or equipment.
Effective Management, development, and motivation of the team. Carry out staff appraisals.
To ensure a good relationship is maintained between all line stations and interfacing departments.
To aid in ensuring all relevant Station, EASA and CAA regulations are met.
To ensure relevant procedures are followed, maintained and reviewed ensuring compliance with all regulations.
To ensure all relevant directions, procedures and directives are followed and correctly read and recorded.
To ensure all relevant staff on their shift are aware of all H & S obligations and responsibilities.
Review roster 14 days in advance to ensure staffing levels and skills are sufficient to fulfil shift requirements.
Arrange backfill and overtime as required iaw guidelines as directed from Station Manager.
Complete and update as required -
Production Plan
Handover Diary
Charge sheets
Daily Station Report in Teams updated
Staff Temp Monitoring Form
Verify all tools and equipment have been returned and signed back in at the end of shift
Delay Reports
Customer Daily Reporting requirements
Ensure any issues are brought to attention of Station Manager
At the beginning of each shift, be conversant with any ongoing problems, and maintain an accurate shift Log throughout the duty period and fully brief the oncoming shift of events.
To ensure all responsible staff are regularly briefed and aware of their responsibilities and updates.
To carry out tasks as detailed by the Station Manager
Carry out Pt 145 training
Deputise for the Station Manager in his absence
Education and Experience:
UK CAA License
Type rated A320F
A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or similar
Relevant Aircraft Engineering experience
Supervisory and or Managerial experience
Technical experience in aviation and experience of certifying Aircraft within a UK/EASA regulations
Have a working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning
Fluent English (spoken & written)
