£45,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Fraser Edwards are recruiting for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join a leading property services contractor delivering responsive repairs and maintenance across a social housing contract in Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated supervisor with a background in property maintenance to lead a team of skilled tradespeople, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Working closely with operational teams, subcontractors and the client, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving operational performance.
The Role
As Repairs Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of operatives carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance works. You'll ensure productivity, quality, compliance and customer satisfaction remain at the heart of service delivery while supporting the Operations Manager to achieve key performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
*
Lead, motivate and manage a team of skilled tradespeople.
*
Carry out direct line management, coaching and performance reviews.
*
Drive productivity, quality and first-time fix performance.
*
Assist with recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of operatives.
*
Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to improve operational performance.
*
Conduct regular trade and vehicle audits in line with Health & Safety policies.
*
Manage subcontractors, ensuring quality, compliance and value for money.
*
Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
*
Promote and maintain safe working practices across all activities.
*
Support the delivery of responsive repairs while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Essential
*
Previous experience supervising repairs or maintenance teams.
*
Strong leadership and people management skills.
*
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
*
Good IT skills.
*
Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points).
*
Willingness to travel across Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas.
*
Ability to pass a DBS check.
Desirable
*
Experience within social housing or property maintenance.
*
Experience using handheld devices or PDAs.
*
A professional approach with high standards of workmanship and customer service.
