Maintenance Technician
Shift Pattern: Double Days Rotation (Early/Late)
Salary: Competitive + Shift Allowance
The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimised. You will respond to machine breakdowns, carry out logical fault-finding, and support continuous improvement activities to maximise line performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis.
Perform mechanical and basic electrical repairs to minimise downtime.
Monitor production line performance and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
Work closely with production teams to improve productivity, quality and efficiency.
Support engineering improvement projects and machine modifications.
Investigate recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain engineering standards, procedures and documentation.Requirements
Essential
ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
GCSE Maths and English.
Previous experience in a maintenance or manufacturing engineering role.Desirable
Mechanical and/or electrical qualifications.
Experience within FMCG or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
Basic electrical fault-finding skills.
Knowledge of vacuum systems
