Are you an experienced Warehouse & Despatch Manager looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a globally recognised manufacturing business, is seeking a driven and strategic logistics professional to lead its warehouse and despatch operations at its Liverpool facility.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading organisation where you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods across UK and international operations while leading a high-performing warehouse function.
The Role
Reporting into the wider logistics function, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the warehouse and despatch department. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure products are delivered on time, in full and in line with all regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing day-to-day warehouse and despatch operations
Leading and developing the warehouse team of circa 50
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and quality standards
Managing the storage and distribution of hazardous goods
Coordinating UK and international shipments, including air and sea freight
Ensuring trade and transport compliance across all shipments
Driving continuous improvement through KPI analysis and process optimisation
Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and logistics providers
Supporting the implementation and optimisation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)About You
To be successful, you will have:
Significant experience in warehouse, logistics or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment
Experience managing hazardous goods logistics
Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Experience coordinating international freight, including air and sea shipments
A strong understanding of Health & Safety and environmental compliance
Excellent leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills
The ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on operationally
Degree-level education or equivalent experience is desirableWhat's on Offer
