Pertemps are currently seeking TIG Welders to join a leading manufacturing business, based in Gainsborough on a full time, ongoing basis.
What will I be paid?
AM Shift - £14.50. Overtime, £21.75ph (Mon to Sat) & £29ph (Sun)
PM Shift - £16.35ph. Overtime, £21.75ph (Mon to Sat) & £29ph (Sun)
Working hours:
There are 2 shifts you can choose from, you will NOT rotate
AM Shift - Monday to Friday – 06:00 to 14:30
PM Shift - Monday to Thursday – 14:30 to 01:00
What will I be doing as a TIG Welder?
Welding components in stainless and mild steel using TIG or gas fusion welding techniques
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols to meet customer specifications
Using jigs, fixtures, and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and minimise scrap
Completing check sheets for traceability in line with standards
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Reporting any issues, defects, or safety concerns to the Team Leader promptly
What skills and experience do I need?
Some experience in welding techniques, particularly TIG or gas fusion welding, up to 2mm thick (stainless steel)
Ability to work from Standard Operating Procedures and use jigs/fixtures for quality control
Health and Safety awareness and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
Enthusiastic, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
Ability to read engineering drawings and weld symbols
Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
Reliable transport to reach site
