A leading national engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join its established Southwark office. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse range of sectors, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Structural Engineer to join a collaborative and technically accomplished team.
You'll become part of a well-established structural engineering team working alongside experienced engineers on a broad portfolio of projects, including residential, commercial, education, healthcare and mixed-use developments. This role offers genuine responsibility from day one, with the opportunity to manage your own projects, build client relationships and contribute to the delivery of technically challenging schemes. You'll also benefit from ongoing professional development and clear opportunities to progress your career within a supportive environment.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' post-graduate structural engineering experience gained within the UK consultancy market. You'll be a confident designer who can take ownership of projects, communicate effectively with clients and project teams, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions from concept through to completion.

What You Need To Succeed
Minimum five years' post-graduate structural engineering experience.
Proven experience working within a UK structural engineering consultancy.
Ability to manage your own projects from design through to delivery.
Strong design experience using materials such as steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
Proficiency with industry-standard structural design software.
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise directly with clients, architects and contractors.
Working knowledge of current UK design standards and Building Regulations.
Chartered Engineer status with the IStructE/ICE, or close to achieving it, is desirable.
A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
