Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming primary school in Aston from September.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils across the school who present with challenging behaviour and may also have additional SEN. Working closely with class teachers and the wider pastoral team, you will provide targeted 1:1 mentoring and intervention support to help pupils develop positive behaviours, improve engagement, and achieve success in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 behaviour mentoring and emotional support for pupils.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children who need additional guidance.
Deliver behaviour interventions and implement personalised support strategies.
Support pupils with SEN, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent support.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour.
A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
Experience supporting pupils with SEN is highly desirable.
