Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistantto support students in a welcoming and inclusive school in the Wellingborough area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with additional needs, or for those looking to build a rewarding career within education.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised learning support.
Assist with implementing EHCP targets and intervention programmes.
Support students both within the classroom and through small group or 1:1 sessions.
Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Is passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Holds a relevant qualification or transferable experience from care, youth work, coaching, or support work.
