Transport Service Coordinator
Location: Dewsbury, WF12 9EG
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

The Transport Service Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day transport operation by coordinating drivers, vehicles, and routes to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. The role involves communicating with drivers and customers, resolving operational issues, and ensuring compliance with transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily transport schedules and allocate work to drivers and vehicles.
Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues.
Support drivers throughout the day and carry out end-of-shift debriefs.
Report safety concerns, vehicle or container damage, and follow company safety procedures.
Ensure transport operations comply with legal requirements, including Working Time Directive (WTD) and Operator Licence regulations.
Maintain accurate records and update transport systems as required.Skills and Experience

Good organisational and communication skills.
Understanding of transport compliance and Working Time Directive (WTD).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
Experience in transport, logistics, or a similar operational environment is desirable.You can look forward to the following benefits:
