Brighthire Recruitment is recruiting Support Workers to work across our clients' residential and supported living services in Colchester and Clacton.
You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, helping them to live as independently as possible while promoting choice, dignity and inclusion.
💙 The Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
Support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation and household duties.
Provide emotional support, reassurance and companionship.
Encourage independence and help individuals develop everyday life skills.
Support individuals to access community activities, appointments and social opportunities.
Work alongside healthcare professionals and other support staff to provide high-quality, person-centred care.
Complete accurate records and report any concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
⭐ What We Are Looking For
A minimum of 6 months' UK care experience.
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs.
Confidence supporting individuals who may display behaviours of concern.
A calm, reliable and compassionate approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
NAPPI Level 1 training is essential. If you do not already hold this qualification, we can arrange the training for successful candidates.
Must be 18 years or over and have the right to work in the UK.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, although we can help you obtain a new DBS if required.
Refresher training and mandatory training updates can also be provided where needed.
