We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic project team delivering complex building services and infrastructure works. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages from procurement through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in accordance with contractual requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Management

Manage the commercial aspects of M&E projects from pre-construction through to final account settlement.
Prepare, review and negotiate subcontract packages and supplier agreements.
Administer subcontractor payments, variations, claims and contractual correspondence.
Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities to maximise project performance.
Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment and cost reports.
Manage change control procedures and ensure accurate record keeping.Financial Control & Reporting

Provide accurate forecasting of costs, revenue, margin and cash flow.
Produce monthly commercial reports and performance updates.
Present commercial information to senior management and project stakeholders.
Support business planning, budgeting and project reviews.Stakeholder Management

Work closely with Project Managers, Design Teams and Operational Teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Build and maintain strong working relationships across all project stakeholders.
Support the delivery team in achieving programme, quality and commercial targets.RequirementsEssential

Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within construction, infrastructure, aviation or building services environments.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations, including:
HVAC systems
Public Health systems
Electrical distribution
Fire detection and protection systems
Controls and BMS systems
Specialist building services installations
Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial administration.
Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract.
Strong commercial acumen with excellent cost management capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial management software.
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a live operational environment.Desirable

Experience delivering projects within airports, rail, defence, data centres or major infrastructure sectors.
Membership of RICS, CICES, ICES, or working towards professional accreditation.
Previous experience on Heathrow Airport projects.
Knowledge of aviation, infrastructure or highly regulated environments.
CSCS Card.
Understanding of BIM and digital construction methodologies.
