Location: Northampton
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Graduate Geotechnical Testing Technician to join a leading international laboratory services provider based in Northampton. Specialising in geotechnical, environmental and asbestos testing, the company supports major construction, infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK and internationally.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology or a related discipline who is looking to build a career in geotechnical engineering through laboratory testing. You will receive comprehensive training, work with industry-leading equipment and gain exposure to a wide range of geotechnical testing techniques while being supported by an experienced technical team.
The successful Geotechnical Testing Technician will have:
A degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology or a related discipline.
A genuine interest in geotechnical laboratory testing and soil mechanics.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
A proactive approach and willingness to learn.Responsibilities:
Undertake a range of geotechnical laboratory tests on soil and rock samples in accordance with British Standards.
Prepare and classify samples for testing.
Record and report accurate test results.
Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with quality assurance procedures.
Work closely with engineers and laboratory staff to deliver high-quality technical data.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.Benefits:
