Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to join an organisation on an initial 2 month basis to work across dispersed properties with young people aged 16-25 years old.
Travel will be required across Huddersfield and Heckmondwike.
Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker:
Working across dispersed properties supporting young people aged 16-25 years
Assisting with access to employment, education and training opportunities
Assisting with the set up and management of utilities and bills
Supporting clients to apply for benefits
Completing sign-ups and inductions
Managing a caseload
Making referrals
Liaising with third party agencies
Completing support plans and risk assessmentsRequirements of the Housing Support Worker:
Enhanced DBS (essential)
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
Previous experience working with vulnerable clients within a housing support capacity, ideally with young people
PLEASE NOTE: applicants purely from a care background will not be considered. Applicants MUST have worked within a housing support capacity.
