This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Technician to join a recognised Control Systems engineering business delivering bespoke Automation Machinery and Electrical Control Solutions across a wide range of industrial sectors.
Electrical Engineering Technician – The Role:
Prepare and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts and project documentation using EPLAN Electric P8
Produce cable schedules, bills of materials, installation drawings and manufacturing documentation
Support the design of control panels, drives, motors, safety devices, sensors and associated electrical systems
Assist with electrical component selection and sizing in line with project specifications and engineering standards
Update drawings following design reviews and engineering changes
Provide technical support to panel build, software, installation and commissioning teams
Ensure all electrical documentation is accurate, controlled and suitable for manufacture and installation
Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical design standards, templates and engineering processes
Electrical Engineering Technician – What We're Looking For:
Experience producing electrical drawings and schematics within an industrial automation, machinery or control panel environment
Experience using EPLAN Electric P8 or similar electrical CAD software
Good understanding of industrial control panels, automation systems and electrical components
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications and engineering documentation
Strong attention to detail with a structured approach to producing accurate design documentation
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering teams
Electrical engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Apprenticeship or equivalent) would be advantageous
Knowledge of EN (phone number removed), ISO 13849, PLC hardware, drives or field devices would be beneficial
