We have an exciting opportunity for a proven Site Manager with at least 1 years’ experience in the job to lead a PITJ winning site in South Croydon.
The ideal candidate will have exposure within volume housebuilding coupled with an exemplary H&S record and an excellent ability to liaise with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all site resources, including labour, plant, and materials, while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety regulations and delivering excellent client service.
* Conduct homeowner welcome meetings and explain the aftercare process.
* Take full ownership of on-site issues, ensuring they are addressed and resolved promptly.
* Oversee the ordering, storage, and utilization of materials to ensure cost-efficiency.
* Maintain control over sub-contractor activities by accurately itemizing, programming, and authorizing work as required.
* Serve as a key point of contact, liaising with internal teams to provide regular, clear progress updates throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Requirements:
* CITB – SMSTS: Must hold the official, industry-recognized CITB certification (internal company versions are not accepted).
* First Aid at Work (FAW): Must hold a valid, up-to-date certificate.
* CSCS Card: Must possess the appropriate level of certification for the role.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Scaffold Inspection: Proficiency in Basic Scaffold Theory and Inspection or hold a current CISRS Inspector qualification.
* Environmental Awareness: Certification in Site Environmental Management, such as CITB SEATS or IEMA.
* Temporary Works: CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) qualification.
* Industry Experience: Proven track record of working to NHBC standards.
