The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join one of the UK's most significant land defence programmes. I have 6 vacancies for this role.
Working within the Integrate Team, you'll play a key role in resolving complex engineering issues across the programme, ensuring successful integration between multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile MOD project
The Role
You'll provide engineering expertise across the programme, working collaboratively with Project Leads, Chief Engineers and specialist engineering teams to identify, investigate and resolve technical challenges.
This position will suit someone who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, influencing technical decisions and working across large-scale engineering programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide mechanical engineering expertise across programme
Identify, investigate and resolve cross-project engineering issues
Support Project Leads and Chief Engineers with technical recommendations
Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Identify design conflicts and integration challenges
Participate in focused engineering working groups
Contribute to engineering risk identification and mitigation
Produce technical documentation
Ensure engineering activities align with programme standards and best practice
Essential Requirements
Engineering qualification
Professionally Registered Engineering Technician (EngTech) or equivalent
Experience delivering technical engineering solutions
Ability to communicate technical information to a range of stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Desirable Experience
Experience supporting military or defence equipment
Asset management or in-service support experience
Experience working on complex engineering programmes
Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders
