I am actively recruiting for Files manager (major works) for a growing client in London.
The project consists of 14 high-spec, high-speed lifts serving 23 floors, all operating on a Destination Control System. The scope includes a mix of passenger, firefighting, evacuation, and goods lifts, with bespoke finishes to lift cars and architraves. The programme for the first 11 lifts is scheduled over a 12-month period.
The Field Manager will be responsible for overseeing site operations and day-to-day activities, including:
* Managing the overall running of the project and resolving on-site issues
* Coordinating and managing subcontractors
* Overseeing health and safety compliance
* Scheduling delivery of lift materials
* Placing orders with local suppliers (AA / PEW)
* Managing and ordering missing materials
* Conducting site surveys
* Carrying out quality assurance checks on installations
* Producing fortnightly progress reports
* Leading fortnightly site safety walks, PPE audits, and toolbox talks
* Attending fortnightly meetings with the client, principal contractor, and lift consultant
* Participating in daily DAB meetings
Key requirements:
* Based in the UK and able to commute to London daily
* Fluent in English with strong communication skills across engineers, clients, and consultants
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Lift Installation
* Strong experience in new installations and/or modernisation
* SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred but not essential)
* First Aid certification (preferred but not essential)
* Up-to-date technical knowledge of current lift regulations
