Deputy Home Manager – Full Time – Luxury Retirement Home – AV1988
Location: Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time – 39 Hours per Week (Monday to Friday with occasional weekends)

The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to work alongside the Registered Manager, supporting the day-to-day management of the home and ensuring consistently high standards of care, compliance and operational performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager looking to take the next step within a highly regarded care service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the overall management and smooth operation of the home
Leading, mentoring and developing the care team through recruitment, training, supervision and appraisals
Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and current Health & Social Care legislation
Creating, reviewing and maintaining person-centred care plans
Conducting pre-admission assessments for prospective residents
Overseeing medication management and safe administration procedures
Managing staffing levels and duty rotas to ensure residents' needs are met
Building strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies
Supporting audits, quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives
Managing concerns and complaints professionally alongside the Registered Manager
Providing hands-on leadership and support to the care team when required
Promoting the service within the local community and supporting occupancy growth
About You
Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care
Previous experience as a Care Manager or Deputy Care Manager within a residential care setting
Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and Health & Social Care legislation
Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills
Good commercial awareness and understanding of care home operations
Confident using care planning systems and Microsoft Office
Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
Passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred care
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
