Yeovil, Somerset | £72 - £100 per hour - Depending on experience. | Monday - Friday, (some flexibility)
Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with Honeywell in Yeovil, Somerset and have opportunities for an Electrical Engineer to work on a full-time basis starting as soon as possible.
Key Duties:
Support end to end electronics design life cycle, from concept and requirements through production and in service support.
* Define and document electronics requirements, design plans, and specifications.
* Design analogue and digital circuits, progressing concepts through to complete PCB layouts and full manufacturing drawing packs.
* Produce all supporting design, verification, and test documentation required for certification and manufacturing.
* Participate in and contribute to design reviews, clearly communicating technical content to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant quality processes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Work closely with internal manufacturing teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth new product introduction, including PCB build, assembly, test, and system integration.
* Provide expert technical support for manufacturing issues and in service investigations across the product range.
Requirements:
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
* 3+ years of electronics design experience within aerospace or another highly regulated sector (e.g., nuclear, rail).
* Strong understanding of electronics design principles and industry best practices.
* Proficient in low power digital circuit design.
* Solid understanding of low frequency analogue interface design.
* Experience using industry standard ECAD tools (Mentor Graphics preferred).
* Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacture) and DFT (Design for Test) methodologies.
* Familiarity with EMC design and qualification requirements.
* Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
* Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Standard core hours: 09:00-16:00 Monday-Thursday, 09:00-12:00 on Friday, with some flexibility.
3 days on site, 2 days remote
