Eden Brown are seeking a highly efficient and experienced Domestic Abuse Worker on a 2 month contract situated in Manchester
Working for a well known Housing Association your responsibilities for the role as Domestic Abuse Worker:
Provide specialist advice, support and practical assistance to customers affected by domestic abuse.
Undertake risk assessments and develop safety plans to reduce risk and improve customer safety.
Manage a caseload of complex cases, supporting customers to sustain their homes and improve outcomes.
Support customers to access appropriate external services, specialist agencies and statutory support.
Deliver trauma-informed interventions tailored to individual needs and circumstances.
Essentially you will have the following experience:
Knowledge of domestic abuse, coercive control, safeguarding, risk assessment and safety planning.
Experience of working with vulnerable customers and managing complex cases.
Understanding of relevant legislation, guidance and best practice relating to housing, safeguarding and domestic abuse.
Ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and partner agencies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and sensitively.
Strong problem-solving, negotiation and influencing skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and use housing and case management systems effectively.
Experience of partnership working and multi-agency case management.
Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and manage competing demands.
