Are you an experienced Vehicle Dynamics Engineer with a passion for suspension, steering, and full vehicle performance? We are looking for a Senior Vehicle Dynamics Analyst to join a leading engineering team, supporting the development and optimisation of vehicle systems through advanced simulation and analysis techniques.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive and advanced engineering projects, using industry-leading CAE tools to influence vehicle behaviour, ride, handling, and performance.
The Role
As a Senior Vehicle Dynamics Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and analysing high-fidelity vehicle models to support suspension, steering, chassis, and full vehicle design activities. Working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders, you will provide technical insight and recommendations that drive vehicle performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop high-fidelity kinematic and dynamic multi-body models of suspension, chassis, and full vehicle systems using CAD and engineering data.
Perform kinematic, quasi-static, and dynamic simulations using commercial CAE software.
Analyse suspension geometry, load paths, and dynamic vehicle behaviour under a range of operating conditions.
Conduct ride, handling, durability, and Kinematics & Compliance (K&C) studies.
Prepare and present technical analysis findings and recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.
Support project planning activities, including scope definition and resource estimation.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Contribute to the development of analysis techniques, methods, and best practices.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative vehicle performance solutions.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong background in vehicle dynamics, statics, and dynamics.
Proven experience developing and analysing suspension, steering, and chassis systems.
Experience carrying out dynamic simulations in both the time and frequency domains.
A solid understanding of vehicle ride and handling, K&C analysis, durability assessments, and full vehicle dynamics.
Experience using MSC ADAMS for multi-body dynamics simulation.
Familiarity with commercial CAD packages such as CATIA, Creo, NX, or SolidWorks.
Knowledge of tyre modelling and road load inputs.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
