We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker for our client in Long Sutton, Lincolnshire (PE12).
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Support Workers to join our client’s dedicated care team. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, dementia, and/or complex needs, empowering them to live safe, independent, and fulfilling lives.
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care that promotes dignity, respect, choice, and independence. You will build positive relationships with the people you support, enabling them to achieve their personal goals while ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities for Support Worker:
* Provide person-centred care and support to adults with learning disabilities, dementia, and/or complex needs in line with individual care and support plans.
* Assist individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, continence care, and mobility support where required.
* Support service users with daily living activities, including meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, household tasks, and attending appointments.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in community, educational, leisure, and social activities.
* Provide emotional support and reassurance to individuals living with dementia, learning disabilities, and complex physical or mental health needs.
* Administer or assist with medication safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Monitor and report any changes in individuals' health, wellbeing, or behaviour, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
* Maintain accurate care records, daily notes, incident reports, and other required documentation.
* Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, social workers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
* Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
* Comply with health and safety, infection prevention and control, moving and handling, and organisational policies and procedures.
* Respond appropriately to emergencies and behaviours of concern, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those you support.
Requirements for Support Worker:
* A genuine passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities, dementia, and/or complex needs.
* A caring, compassionate, patient, and respectful approach.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Previous experience in a care or support role
* Enhanced DBS check
* Mandatory Training Certifications
