Stock Controller
Location: Sharpness, Gloucestershire
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:00pm
The Role
We are recruiting for a Stock Controller to join a busy warehouse operation in Sharpness. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records across both physical and system inventory, carrying out stock investigations, supporting operational teams, and ensuring excellent inventory accuracy to meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate system and physical stock levels.
* Complete daily and weekly perpetual inventory (PI) counts.
* Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
* Review inventory reports and reconcile stock variances.
* Process returned stock efficiently and accurately.
* Liaise with warehouse operations regarding inventory control.
* Investigate and resolve customer stock queries.
* Support warehouse administration with stock-related investigations.
* Complete quality control documentation and stock records.
* Report damaged stock and hygiene concerns.
* Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and Health & Safety standards.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Previous experience within a stock control or inventory role.
* Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Good communication skills.
* A methodical and organised approach to work.
* The ability to work independently and within a team.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Flexibility to support operational requirements and stock counts
